I'm Sylvette the creator of Sylvette Travels.
I'm a Native from Puerto Rico I love creating videos for my Youtube channel. Traveling my Island with my husband we love to vacay our Island and eat at restaurants.
It all start.... when I was 7yrs old back in 1987 my mother sends my brother and I to the best summer camp ever in Puerto Rico. It was called; Happy Camp and sure it was the owners was a family of School Bus that invent this camp to earn money on summer. So, every morning in summer they will pic each kid to their homes and then we all meet at a park from each day we have a new place to discover, meaning every corner from the Island! This happen until 1993 so this is where my interest of traveling starts.
Then when I was an adult, I begin to travel more with friends and partners I did travel much more, and I start to document my trips in photos. I have been traveling my Island and the Caribbean since 2008 back then I didn't used to video, but I do have small clips from traveling and family activities' I think without knowing I was having an interest of documenting my traveling and food from restaurant but in that moment, I did not have this idea of blogging my travels, but it became real in 2021.
I'm married to my best friend, and we love travel Puerto Rico we hope in the future to expand International. We enjoy visiting places in Puerto Rico, Caribbean Islands, Cruising & USA.
What do I love about my Island Puerto Rico?
I love Christmastimes it's my favorite holiday beside Thanksgiving. I love to decor my living room and kitchen with all my Christmas decorations. Every year I decor my tree different I don't like to repeat decor. I try to change things so don't look the same every year. And I also host family gathering at my home, so my table is always the center of the reunion with the food off course Puerto Rican Christmas food is the best.
My mom stays with me, and she help me cook all the Christmas food I always video those moments she doesn't like it LOL well I'm a Youtuber I always vlog. A few years back a new tradition that is rare in Puerto Rico I start loving is to make real cookies from scratch and decor gingerbread houses well does I buy it premade its easier. It's the icing on the cake that Christmas activity!
And for my Christmas finally I love Disney so my husband and I will try to go on December whenever we can it's not cheap so we can't not do it every year and that breaks my heart, but it makes it more special every time we can go and have the full Christmas experience at Disney Magic Kingdom.
