What to do in Guayama Puerto Rico? Food Review, Boat Trip and more... Sylvette Travels

Guayama is one stop in the south that I love!

First the road trip, the view, the places that only the south of Puerto Rico have; I call it the jewel of the Island. I visit one the most beautiful church in Puerto Rico. Guayama was found since 1736 by Matías de Abadía. I got there by church time but it was closed they were doing something in the floor so it will be another time that I will show you this amazing church inside. Follow me to know more about the Churches from Puerto Rico.

This is the fountain in front of the church San Antonio de Padua this church was build in 1736 and finish by 1775.

Inside in La Casa de los Pastelillos in Guayama

OK let's talk about real most of you don't come here for the church! LOL

You wanna have fun eat and drink yes, I got you lets go... First things first Guayama have good junk food, but they also have amazing seafood. But since I can't eat crustaceous, I'm leaning for the junk food, so I went to La Casa del Pastelillo and there also have seafood beside the "fritanga" (meaning fried food).

My family we all have Patelillos and YES there are this big and so yummy I also have some arepitas de maíz they taste like sorullitos without the chesses inside. I also have Piñacolada and with a lovely ocean view it was a lovely sunny and rainy day but don't worry the rain only last 10 minutes.

You can see this in Paseo a la Bahia

I love boats and I found this one in front of La Casa del Pastelillo you can call Captain Miguel to his cellphone he will tell you all about the trip in his boat take a note: 1 - 787 - 408 - 4989

Captain Miguel always with a good & positive vibe!

Paseo a la Bahia is a good family trip to see the ocean find some friends like stingrays and manatees.

Here is his Facebook page for more info @ Paseo a la Bahia

You will see this before getting to this destination.

Guayama is a town that have so much to see it have beaches and cayos you can also enjoy this in Paseo a la Bahia, Miguel has trips for the water to stay 4hr or 6 hrs I will love to one day go and be in the Ocean of Guayama by boat.

And its Flamboyant season here in Puerto Rico and in the south of the Island they have more color I just stop and enjoy this one with the lovely house in background.

Flamboyant is a Typical tree from the Caribbean here in Puerto Rico you can found it with this orange almost red color, pink and in violet.

Guayama have one of the smallest Marketplace to buy vegetables inside there is more space for other shops, but this man is the only one selling here people walk in and out to buy quick what they need for the day this market doesn't have a name outside but is on Ave. Los Veterans Road.

Best Restaurants in Guayama are;

*Prime Market

*Otoro Rooftop Lounge

*El Gallo Pinto

*Wunjo

I have the experience to eat at breakfast at Wunjo and is the coolest place I love the Brunch Menu and they have space for activities', outside there is a sport arena for Pickleball. I also eat at Otoro Rooftop Lounge and the Sushi was amazing!

You can see all these restaurants on the Second Part from Guayama video downlow.

I was walking the downtown of Guayama when I saw El Gallo Pinto & El Gran Hotel PR one in front of the other, I ask for permission to film El Gran Hotel PR and Madeline was very kind to show me this beautiful Antique Hotel if you want to support El Grand Hotel called; 1-787-448-7101 by the way this is Not Sponsored by El Grand Hotel PR.
