The Vessel name Frigate ARC Gloria from Republic of Colombia is a training ship has 76.5 meters, a draft of 4.8 meters in the area of its sails is 1,693.63 square meters and a displacement of 1,300 tons.

On the 22 of July 2022 the Celebrations of the Regatta Old San Juan Puerto Rico start, the Vessels start entering the Port of Old San Juan. The first to arrive was Colombia then Mexico, Brazil and Uruguay. This is the biggest Cultural Celebration since the first Regatta in 1992.

I wake up at 5am to be there at 7.30am the first vessel enters at 8am so I was in front of this big ship the Sailors where singing a song you can hear them on my Youtube channel Sylvette Travels I link the video down on this blog post.

This celebration was for four days and at night the Vessels light up. It was beautiful on the Second day people line up to see and enter the vessels a friend told me that the time in line was 4hrs under the Caribbean sun, crazy right! I did burn my arms, but I did cover my face with a big hat.

There where Music at night, food a lot of handmade and business selling art there was a big party. The news said more that 30k people were going to this event. The Mayor of Old San Juan did a great job on closing the San Juan Streets people arrive by the Aqua Expresso or by bus. Because I went the first day very early, I park inside Old San Juan and at noon they close the Old City.
