Mayaguez, Puerto Rico stay in la Sultana del Oeste here are my favorite places to visit.

 



Driving in the summer to the west its always exiting for me!

It's have so much beauty and activities to do with family or only just the two of us. This time we stay in the Mayaguez Resort & Casino. It was July full summer here in the Island of Puerto Rico the hotel has two pools and is in the middle of the best west towns Rincón & Cabo Rojo.

We were on Mayaguez ahead of time, so we have time go and see the mall of Mayaguez and the public Plaza Colón I was amaze how beautiful was this Plaza Colón the Alcaldía building look so American I enjoy looking at the details. There is also fountain and the Cathedral Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria.

We got to the Mayaguez Resort and Casino at 3pm to do the check in when we got to our room we were all surprised to see that they give us the suite room apparently the hotel was full book and that was the only option for two beds.

This was the main pool and the Hotel have a River pool for the kids. 
I recommend stay here!

We eat outside the Hotel at night there are a lot of restaurants of all budgets just 5 or 10 minutes. We all go the C' EST LA VIE just 3 minutes far. The food was good I eat pimientos with churrasco, Yum! This place is open to eat outside, and you can see more on my Youtube Video @SylvetteTravels.com

HOTEL COLONIAL, MAYAGUEZ

During one of my summer road trips in Mayaguez I stay at the Hotel Colonial I have seen the Hotel but never knew the History behind it.

History: In 1892 the structure was built, the Servant of Mary 1897 start living there they buy the building in 1970 they move to the Nunnery to front of Centro Medico. My aunt Sister Sor Leticia she is a nun from the sister of Mary she spends a lot of years in the Servant of Mary from the Bronx, New York.

The Hotel is very close to the Cathedral one of the most beautiful from Puerto Rico see my videos downlow.
